Grooming Services Overview
Main Grooming Packages
- Q: What grooming packages do you offer?
- A: We offer three main packages: Bath & Brush, Cleanup, and Full Grooming.
- Q: What is included in the Bath & Brush service?
- A: Our Bath & Brush package includes two rounds of premium, hypoallergenic shampoo, full-body brushing (to remove tangles, dust, and debris), high-velocity drying, nail trimming (including pad hair), ear check, and a basic skin and coat health assessment.
- Regular Bath & Brush sessions help prevent matting and make future haircuts easier and faster.
- Q: What is the Cleanup package, and who is it recommended for?
- A: The Cleanup package includes everything in the Bath & Brush, plus sanitary trimming (belly, genital area, and rear), paw and footpad trimming, rounded feet, and trimming around the eyes and face for improved visibility and cleanliness.
- It is recommended for dogs with fast-growing hair, tear stains, messy bottoms or feet, or owners who want an extra tidy look without a full haircut.
- Q: When should I choose the Full Grooming (haircut) package?
- A: Choose Full Grooming if your dog needs a breed-standard or seasonal haircut. The service includes everything in the Cleanup package, plus a full body haircut.
- Consultation is available: Bring photos or ideas for a custom consultation.
Stand-alone Services & Package Add-ons
- Q: Can I book just a nail trim, anal gland expression, or tooth brushing?

- Q: How much are the add-on services like Ear Cleaning or Anal Gland Expression?
- A: You may add these services to any package for an additional fee: $5 for small dogs or $10 for large dogs.
Health & Safety Restrictions
Required Health Records
- Q: What vaccinations are required for the first visit?

Special Cases and Fees
- Q: Are there age or health restrictions for senior dogs and puppies?
- A: Senior Dogs (11+ years): We do not accept new senior clients due to stress and health risks in unfamiliar environments. Existing senior clients are always welcome. Puppies (under 6 months): Gentle "cleanup" sessions are recommended to build positive grooming habits.
- Q: What should I do if my dog has fleas or ticks?
- A: If active pests are present, please visit your veterinarian for prescription treatment first. Wait at least 3 days after medication before coming in for a flea bath. A flea bath fee applies: Small $15, Medium $20, Large $25.
- Q: What if my dog is anxious or reactive? Are there special fees?
- A: We offer special handling for sensitive, anxious, elderly, or reactive dogs. A Special Handling Fee ($20–50) may apply if extra time, staff, or care is needed. A Bite Charge ($30–60) may apply if your dog bites during grooming. We may stop the session and call you for early pickup if safety is a concern.
De-matting and De-shedding
- Q: Can I book just a de-matting session?
- A: Yes, you can book de-matting only. For severe matting, always seek professional help. Caution: Never use scissors to cut out mats at home, as this is a leading cause of skin injuries.
- Q: Which dogs need de-shedding?
- A: De-shedding is designed for double-coated breeds (Huskies, Malamutes, Samoyeds, Retrievers, etc.). It reduces shedding, odor, and hot spots.
